I'm not sure, it's a very syncopated pattern and wouldn't fit with a great deal else. I eventually learned to play it by watching a drum teacher demonstrate it on YouTube.

The most sampled drum pattern is James Brown's Funky Drummer featuring Clyde Stubblefield.
