I'd probably ask, when was the last time someone genuinely thanked you and would say, I was in the supermarket and a guy was waiting to get through, small things sometimes.. always give a wave if someone lets me through when driving

if you are nice to them then hopefully it means they'll be nicer to someone else..

Actually the last time someone genuinely thanked me was my boss, for my support and ability at work while he was having a wobbly couple of days and responsibility was getting to him. That felt genuine and very much appreciated.

After my last one (some years ago) whith a supposed 26 yr old 6 foot tall slim blonde haired lad I've never done another.

He turned out to be a middle aged little porker with a bald head wearing a tee shirt that had the remnants of at least 15 different meals dribbled down it and the little cherub on his bar of soap was quite possibly older than he was.

That was the last time & never again.
