Don't like em much. Not a dealbreaker for me as long as they're neat and trimmed, but the gravy catcher bramble forest look? No thanks

I'm not sure that beards are something that can really be considered a current trend

They were more notable in the 'hipster' era but nowadays, it's just people having beards as opposed to following a trend

If you look at younger Turkish, Albanian, Romanian men etc, sometimes they're almost clones of each other with their over-groomed hair and beards.

I'm not sure which specific generation you're referring to but beards are very much not part of the newer generations' looks

There's much more of a movement to medium-length hair and 90s clothing styling, which checks out with the fashion 'cycle'

That will never happen

Far too mainstream now

Literally everyone has them and most of the younger emos have such random shit it’s embarrassing but that’s the age gap I guess

My missus is covered

Has full sleeve

Both thighs

Calf ones

Stomach, Back, ass n above her pussy

I just have three small ones haha

Yeah, ethnicity/audience also does play a major role in how we present

I'll just have to plough me own ink-free furrow then! I'm glad I never succumbed to fashion pressure as I DK feel, if not unique, at least out of the ordinary.

I read the reason beards are back in fashion is cos of the price of razor blades.

Even the supermarkets put them in one of those plastic container thingies to prevent them being shoplifter.

I think that over the historical longer term, beards have been the norm. Maybe the clean-shaving era was a blip. Marketing from the disposable razor companies created a fashion, until Gillette fucked it up.

I think there was a time...the mid naughties??...when celebs and media seemed to be proponents of a kind of 'pretty' male look, less physically masculine looking, not effeminate but sort of in that ball park. Also really well groomed physically, popularity in moisturiser lol

The brad Pitts, Leonardo, bloke who played legolas lol ??

Beard started to grow when I was 15, tried shaving, skin erupted so gave up. Only managed to be completely balled was after a bone marrow transplant. Quite liked the smooth body with no shaving lol. Didn't last that long, so will have to dig out the rusty old razor again and start tidying up.

During the early 2000s, the emergence of the "metrosexual" aesthetic heavily influenced professional footballers. In early 2005, after a win over Blackburn Rovers, nearly the entire Chelsea first team—including Frank Lampard, Wayne Bridge, and John Terry—revealed completely waxed and hairless chests, setting a trend that many Premier League players quickly followed.

Had a beard for around 40 years, started because of nerve problems on face, and scars (but not for vanity).

I don’t mind beards or moustaches. As long as they’re well looked after and not full of stray food. lol. As has already been mentioned; it’s a matter of personal preference.

Quite the opposite; most guys look better without one! Certainly younger, too. No one under 40 should have one. Enjoy your youthfulness.

Fun fact, if some of you aren’t into people with beards then you just avoid people with beards, it really is that simple.

Stating your opinion publicly as if it’s a written rule all men should follow just makes you look judgemental, and self centred.

Particularly comments like “no one under 40 should have one” get a grip, it’s just hair and everyone is entitled to do with it as they please.

I think there should be written rules.

Over 40 compulsory

Under 30 banned as high risk of poor quality and thickness

Between 30 and 40 compulsory but only under the tutelage of an elder beardsman

Incidents of poor quality would be decided upon by a panel of 5 elected beardsman.

Those failing the panels scrutiny to be flagged and used as forced labour shaving fannies.

As would under 30s in possession of facial hair likely to bring into disrepute.

Started to grow a beard when I was 18 to annoy an ex girlfriend who hated them. 50 years later it's a bit greyer and a lot more trimmed but can't ever see myself loosing it. Doesn't go well with the stockings and lingerie but that's everyone else's problem not mine.

Clumsy, preachy advertising campaign suggesting masculinity was toxic: resulted in a $multi-billion loss in sales and a brand boycott.
