I’ve just got home from 2 weeks round med on Sky Princess ship is great but only fun I had was twice with same guy in deck 16 toilets no fun to be had in saunas as you have to pay lots to use the facility and its monitored so forget that option

I would say that isn't too bad.

Just over 100 quid a night for full board and daily/nightly entertainment.

If you want to do a cruise without breaking the bank keep an eye out for what are known as "repositioning cruises".

When a ship has been working the Caribbean or Asia for the winter and then sailing back to the Med for the summer, or vice versa. You will usually find them in March or April coming back, or October going the other way.

We've done a few of them. Best deal we got was with Costa 4 years ago. Three weeks from Singapore to Rome. 699€ pp.

Not quite as cheap but we have just booked another from Rio de Janiero to Barcelona next April.

Only downside is they tend to have more at sea days than regular cruises. But still enough ports.

Me and Mrs did a couple of cruise's in our swinger days.

On one we met a single guy who latched onto us for most of the cruise. He was Dutch and had no idea that we were into the swinger lifestyle.

Mrs is into dancing, I'm not (two left feet and all that) and the guy was quite a decent dancer. They were regularly up on the dance floor together and I could see that Mrs was discreetly flirting with him.

Cut a long story short. On the last night of the cruise they moved from the dance floor to his cabin.

I would normally have joined them to watch but the guy was very vanilla and was quite shocked when I made the suggestion.

I stayed in the bar and they returned after about an hour. She with that "cat that got the cream" look on her face.

I got the full story later and it turned out that he was pretty good.

We disembarked the next day and never saw him again.

Costa are not that bad. Aside from one dodgy captain of course.

We've been on 2 cruises with them and have a 3rd booked for next year.

The ships are relatively new and modern, food while not great is good enough, housekeeping is very good and entertainment is up to standard.

One the downside some of the staff can be a bit rude and arrogant. Also Costa tend to market themselves heavily in the Italian and Spanish markets so don't expect too many English speakers on board. But there will still be a few.
