Long time reader, first time poster.

Many, many years ago, when I was 20, I worked as a barman just outside Manchester city centre.

I loved the job and it was fun.

All sorts of people frequented the pub, from all walks of life.

One quiet Thursday afternoon around 2pm ISH, what looked like a well-to-do couple came in. I wouldn't usually pay much attention, but the woman was very pretty looking, with tight jeans and T-shirt on.

The guy sat in a booth, and the woman came to the bar and ordered a couple of drinks. A bit of light flirting on my part ( as usual ) she paid and waggled back over to, who I guessed was her husband.

I carried on cleaning up, and changed a couple of kegs, thinking nothing more about them.

After a while, the guy came to the bar and ordered some more drinks.

" I noticed you ogling my missus" he said

Shit!! I thought, but just said,

" Sorry mate but she is pretty nice "

Hoping he'd accept the compliment without any hassle.

Then, very calmly he said.

he told me then walked back to his wife

I waited then headed to the toilets, and just stood at the urinal.

By now the little soldier was getting excited, so I gave it a couple of minutes and went back behind the bar.

I thought nothing more of it, and went about the rest of my shift.

I finished at 9pm, and sat at the bar with a pint chatting to other staff.

I was just thinking about walking home when, the guy from the couple appeared at my side.

" Hi there, did you enjoy the show? "

" Very much" I replied

" Would you like a more person show? " He said

" I'd love that mate "

" Come with me lad " he told me.

Into the night air we went.

I started to get a bit nervous about the situation as we walked.

But the guy chatted away and told me all about them both.
