I cant seem to find a thread about this, seems the Farridge fans have all vanished. Well, is he an anti semitic racist or not, what do you think?.. and should he be made to resign fron all public 'duties' just like the rest of them?.. I really cant understand why his fans have gone quiet on this.

It depends on how racism is defined, in the final analysis as to whether or not Nigel Farage is racist is a matter of interpretation and opinion. However, it's clear that he has been involved in several controversies surrounding his comments on race and immigration.

Not a fan but i dont think he is racsist. He's right wing, but it doesnt always follow as being racist. He's not on Tommy R level, who spouts obviously racist loony stuff. But churning up stuff Farage said while he was a schoolboy is pretty pathetic. If we can do that to him, we can do it to anyone. If I think back to the language commonly used when I was at school in the 70s, much of which was derogatory name calling and mocking based on ethnicity or culture, nearly all of my peers would be considered racist using that metric levelled on children. My own grandparents and parents used language which would be considered racist, and now downright offensive. Does he use racist language now? No, i dont think he does. Does he have racist ideals - yeah, probably. People should think about why a few folks have come out to talk about things a child said in the 70s and why they are raisong it now. I'm not a Farage supporter, but if we're gonna pull him up over things he said in the 70, we need to be ready to face the same ourselves and then the world becomes a circus of allegations about what was said when the world was a different place. Stop being a constantly offended melt springs to mind.

Seriously? You don’t remember anyone at school telling jokes that would be considered racist now?

I do.

Comedians in the 70s were on TV every night telling jokes that would get them cancelled by the woke wankers today. Comments made back then were of a different time with different tolerances and acceptances. Dragging up things he may (or may not) have said may be a concerted effort by opponents to discredit him because they are terrified that Reform are leading in the polls. Anyone considered that?

This is going to backfire big time. According to the accusers,he said horrible things when he was a teenager, 50 years ago. This may come as a shock to everyone. But most teenagers do say unacceptable things. Having been a teacher at all levels. Children tend to either use comments they hear their parents say. Or they will use such language in order to shock or get offensive. Not really understanding what they're saying. The fact that the so called victim actually started crying. Leads me to believe this is a lot of nonsense. The socialists have labelled everyone else right wing fascists. Name calling seems to be the only pathetic thing they can all manage. More people will see that, and reform will get in more easily. Having been on the end of a considerable amount of abuse over the years. It's obvious that our politicians are desperate. Being abusive shows real desperation. They're all pathetic.

"A racist opportunist"

But much more carefully about covering his opinions now even though British public clearly don't give a fig and will ignore that aspect of "The man that's going to listen to them!"

They don't care if he's a bully. They loved Boris essentially because he was a "loveable bully" !

Didn't care that either of them have close ties to Putin and have spouted Russian propaganda as fact.

They don't even care that his principal finance currently comes from American corporations,( either directly for lobbying or via GB news") that dwarf his MP salary and that his record as a British politician or as an MEP seems to be titular at best.

The big problem I have with him (apart from his history of not turning up to do the job he was elected and is paid by the public to do either as an MEP or an MP) is the way he whips up Ill will against certain minorities - just reminds me of Hitler in Germany in the 1930’s and we all know where that lead when he got power.

Fifty years ago he organised a squad of cadets to march through the local town singing nazi songs and giving the fascist salute.

He has a long record of being a bully and racist at school.

Enoch Powell, Someone he has openly admired as an adult , refused to have him as an intern, and refused to back him.

He has carefully learned to lie like a politician and nothing in what he says or has done gives any indication that his openly racist opinions as a twenty year old have been in anyway modified, other than he now has the political noise to pretend he's not racist.

Note: the national front denied it was it's racist.

So do several current eugenicists.

The fact they are delusional or lying toads sis not negate the fact that they are by definition racist. Farage is by any count a chancer, and other than saying "you can't prove I am", there is nothing in his policies or statements to suggest he has matured his views from those he had as a manipulative entitled little thug at 18.

There is nothing other than a veneer off political correctness to suggest he has changed his views or his nature.

This is not stuff that happened when he was six it was when he was doing a levels.

He subsequently went on to try and work for a variety of openly right wing organisations, fell into metal reading and dropped out of that to work as a lobbyist and serial failure as a politician.

He finally got to be an MEP, and was fined 35k for fiddling his expenses something he is on record as as saying he thought it was acceptable to do.

He has hardly announced a policy that he hasn't back tracked on by the time the headline ink was dry.

They do indeed, my school was terrible for it, one Jewish kid would walk across the schoolyard and the whole school would erupt into mass anti-semitic barracking, teachers would ignore it or the most severe admonishment would be being told to 'settle down'.

I used to join in, I am thoroughly ashamed of that. I have grown as a person since then and detest hate and hateful behaviour and push back against it whenever I can. This was about 40 years ago and a similar type of school to Farage.

If Farage were to come out and say what I have just said then I reckon most decent people would accept what he says and actually support him, unfortunately he is dancing on the head of a pin and dodging the issue with his replies - this is because he fears that doing so would lose the support of those who are like him - Racists

Rather think his is racist. Certainly a hypocrite. 15 or 20 years ago he was complaining bitterly about the East Europeans coming over here and 'stealing' our jobs. That was when I first went off him. Then he left UKIP complaining that they were racist. He's a chancer and a bandwagon jumper. Totally deceitful and distrustful.

The world was indeed a different place in many ways, but racism was still racism, antisemitism was antisemitism, both were casually used and tolerated back then more than now, this is progress, it needs calling out now, the progress of time is no excuse for not learning from the past.

Reform UK now have branded Blackshirts available to buy. they originate from the Italian Fascist party in 1919 and adopted as the uniform for right wing extremist groups since, including the British Union of Fascists

A coincidence his party are selling Blackshirts? No

Is racism systemic to extreme right wing politics? Yes

Has any society ever thrived under a right wing government? Look up the pattern in history or ask any average or low income person or family living in the USA now.

Spoiler: the law, economy and power are ALWAYS diverted from society in right wing politicw, Rascism is a divide/rule and blame tactic to enable it

The biggest and most concerning problem isn't actually that the frog faced belgian is racist, it's actually that the people no longer seem to care that he is. It's been normalised to blame and scapegoat anyone who is brown (unless of course it's fetishised as it is on here). Just the comments on here show people are happy to distract from the vile behaviour he shows daily and how normalised it is now to ignore racism. Justifying any form of racism is deplorable in itself, let alone from a group that clearly can't see what would come from a reform led government. They're so far up their own arses they genuinely believe it'll never happen to them. They think "he only means the flags", he doesn't. He'll strip every one of these "contributors" rights away and only when they actually feel the effects will they say "thats not what I voted for".

Don't take a lot of notice of opinion polls as they are notoriously unreliable. However since the Nathan Gill affair, rumours about Reform being in league with the Kremlin and now talk about Farage's racism, Reform's standing in the polls has fallen and long may it continue to do so. People--mainly his adoring acolytes--keep harping on that we need a general election. Well we won't be getting one for about 3 1/2 years and even if we had one now it would probably result in a hung parliament and an unworkable coalition. Not everyone loves or is taken in by the Farage.

The name calling on this thread, is quite ironic and revealing. Having caught some of the BBC fake news yesterday. Then reading on this thread what a swine Farage is, for calling other people names. When he was a child. Then reading all the name calling on here! By so called adults? So much hate, based on gossip and rumour. I like wearing black lace but I wouldn't consider anybody else that does a nazi! I don't vote, so maybe that means I'm far right? The anger reminds me of a Harry Enfeild sketch. I wonder if all the haters on here have red/blue faces with they lose it?

Name calling and being a racist are two very different things. One is just being irritated/childish and the other is a deep rooted problem that has effects on more than just someones feelings.

For a group of people who seem to get massive enjoyment out of "using hurty words" when the shoe is on the other foot, they seem to show a level of hypocrisy that is unrivalled

Or people can see the rise in and apparent acceptance of trumps mini me behaviour and have now decided that acting to try and stop it is in the best interests of the country. Not everything involves a hand shake and a brown envelope, the vast majority of people still have morals and principles.

"Can’t attack his policies so have to attack the man. People who probably can’t remember what they had for dinner day before remembering what someone said 50 years ago. Quite pathetic really"

He has no policies other than "stop the boats" and make believe tax thresholds. When asked about his policies "we're not in government yet" was the answer, followed by yet more bluster and whataboutism.

If you could enlighten us to the policy, maybe we could tear that apart too.

No, the man is the last hope for this country. His views may be pretty far right, but thats what its going to take to turn this country around, because at the minute, all of the lefties do gooders are simply handing our country over to people coming in on boats.

I had a disagreement with a Muslim a couple of years ago and do you know what he spat at me?

Fuck off mate because in 20 years this will be our country, and we won't even have to fight for it, we will simply out breed you.

So if you think combating people like that is far right and racist then you are as disillusioned as any one of the tories or Labour governments members. I believe he should be the next prime minister, and sooner rather than later.

So you based your entire desire to have a prime minister on one argument with one man from years ago?

You're prepared to lose your rights as a citizen, the nhs and hand over your country to a proven liar and russian asset just because of one man you had a disagreement with?

If it was about the country, you'd be looking at the big picture not just a little slogan about boats

Absolutely.

Faux patriotism at it's worst. There is nothing patriotic about tearing up the values these supposed patriots hold dear. What they actually mean is this "woke" world has stopped them being able to bash their mrs after the footy and calling people a N word "even though they use it themselves"

They hark back to days where only they mattered whilst posting on an lgbt website how disgusted they are that everyone is equal

Burnham on sea

He just happens to be the most successful politician of the last two decades.

I think he is an establishment, bankster puppet, performing a role to ring fence the disgruntled right wing.

But then i think most politicians fall into that catagoryg.

Its all very simply arranged, Reds, Blues, Yellows, Greens, Celtic or Rangers.

Nobody is scared, simply informing the nation of who it is as a person.

Maybe harking back to when politics was brutal but respectful, not what we have now which is a mini trump just lying about absolutely every single possibility.

Name calling is very much related to racism. Although I suppose it depends how much manipulation you need to do, to back your argument. If you are going to criticise my comments. By all means feel free to do so. With a reasonable argument? Or are you one of those that insists on being right, when they're obviously wrong? Carry on with the name calling if it floats your boat darling. Its just rather infantile. Extremely boring, and not at all impressive.

This horrible little toad conspired with BoJoe and lied to British people to vote to leave the EU and how stupid was that? It’s not at all surprising that these people who were at school with him have never been silent on who he is, but the media needed to highlight what they have always been saying. I have no doubt that he is a Nazi and his close friendship with criminal Trump, very close as he is with the CluCluxClan would reinforce that view.

Yes of course anybody who doesn't want thousands of unvetted men allowed in to the country is a facist nazi racist.

For the people on benefits who don't pay any tax, let's laugh at the mugs who work hard and their taxes pay for all these economic migrants. Sorry a slip of the tongue, I meant genuine refugees who go through 8 safe countries gaining asylum in places like Germany and France but they risk their lives to come and are welcome here. The hypocrisy of the "architect" of brexit being a dual citizen of the EU in order to retain the benefits whilst stripping the country he supposedly has an ultra patriotism towards is outstanding. Difference is, the people who actively support him are the same as those who support stephen lennon, they can't comprehend what hypocrisy is through the excitement of hating brown people

It has never been correct (since 1945) to say zeig heil, do a nazi salute or celebrate the nazis.

Regardless of how long it's been, it goes to the core of the person. There is a huge difference between an inappropriate joke and genuinely meaning it.

I once thought it would be funny to do it past my commanders window at air cadets, i learned my lesson there and then. Never, ever would I do it again.

For people who seem to be so focused on veterans and patriotism, to selectively apply that and ignore what that creature has done and continues to do is not only grotesque but deeply offensive to those laying in the ground in normandy.

Still trying to tell me what I think, and what I am. Veiled insults again?

So I'm a Nazi now? I'm more offended that you think you are so smart. But consequently unable to finish a sentence without any punctuation.

At least you aren't quite name calling. I suspect you are seething with rage? So very sad. Now go and take a chill pill.

Oddly enough you do sound like more of a Nazi than I supposedly do.

Farage is like Trump like Teflon nothing ever sticks to him

The duplicity of him makes it laughable

Paid to be a MEP fiddling his expenses and gets caught doing so then wants out of Europe

Then gets engaged to a European giving her a job in his organisation and she works from home, in a second home he gave her the money to buy. Owns farmland in order to squirrel away more money.

Has about 14 different jobs

But he knows he’s onto has the immigration card held up high and will always look to light that touch paper when his tinder is getting dry.

Again - sending a child to private school does not imply bigotry. Grow up. My eldest went to one. Couldn’t afford it subsequently.. and other factors were involved, but don’t even think about suggesting that I am. You’re basically extrapolating whatever you want from any part of the situation.

"He said things as a teenager that were wrong and racist.

Teenage brains are not fully mature and why we have a juvenile criminal system.

Judging what a child said 50 years through today's societal norms is clutching at straws."

And of course his politics have openly moved so far away from those comments 🧐

"This is an impossible one to answer, only he would truly know that. I happen to think he's a pratt, but digging up alleged quotes from school is utterly ridiculous, I doubt I covered myself in glory in a variety of ways when I was in school either, people evolve. Only he knows if he has.

But he hasn't, he may have changed the language but the beliefs have not changed as evidenced by his "stop the boats" slogan.

Wasn't it Rishi with the "stop the boats" slogan?"

It was both the cons and Reform, reform of course being made up mostly of cons.

When I was 14 the school held a mock election. I proudly formed the Fascist Party (being a chronic contrarian) which had a peak membership of 4, one of whom was Jewish. We got two votes. Can't remember what our message was...moral; you do some ill-advised things when you're a kid.

Beats me how you now characterise Farage as antisemitic. He's consistently backed Israel over Gaza. Well, ok, that makes him fascist. Point conceded.

Yes, this!

Twice in the last decade I contacted a school bully through Facebook messanger, I wasn't rude, just reminded them what they did, don't know what I expected, an apology,

Both times I was met with abuse, denial and one even threats

People don't change!

I'm not talking about primary school age, maybe they do, but from the age of at least twelve your character is set and if it is rotten at that age it remains so for life.

It really does come to something when people are trying to accuse someone of being racist with something they apparently said 50 years ago. It just shows how desperate all the other political parties are right now, they all must be running scared of Reform.

I personally don’t think he is racist or anti semetic but I’m sure there are people who will disagree

Also would like the proof of what he said when he was 13 but there won’t be any so it’s his words against others who want 25 minutes of fame

That said I’m quite sure we all said things we shouldn’t at that age

Nobody is running, they're confronting head on. Reform don't like it but it's true. As for "50 years ago", the frog faced belgian is still spouting it now, albeit with more publicly acceptable language.

Only the establishment parties have been going out of their way to bend over backwards in appeasement towards the once small but now rapidly expanding minority groups for well over 30 years now.

I guess the majority will make their feelings clear on this thorny matter at the next general election.

If what you propose is true ... Then the Labour and Conservative parties are currently shitting themselves for nothing.

I understand that approx 24 people have described Farage as being a racist with strong Nazi sympathy’s at school. These are not individuals looking for 25 minutes of fame as you attempt to dismiss them, they have been saying the same thing for years but the media chose to ignore them. Mr Farage however is a well proven liar as the British people know well especially the ones who believed him and voted for brexit, and now see how wrong that was. I am much older than Farage so much longer since leaving school but I clearly remember very clearly every bully and every racist that I was unfortunate to encounter in that environment. I find it very difficult to understand why you find it difficult but I won’t speculate.

It really doesn’t matter to the people that will vote for him if he is a racist or if he isn’t, so this current ‘scandal’ is a pointless exercise.

A huge swathe of the Reform voters aren’t voting for any particular policies. They will vote Reform for the same reason that so many people voted Labour last time. Not because they like Reform, or its policies or its leader, but because the other choices have proven time and again how self serving and inept they are.

Calling him racist, or even proving 100% that he is, won’t change these voters opinion on that.

The only chance there is of Reform not winning the next election, is if the current government suddenly become extremely competent, and get the country back on track.

I think that I have already said the next election will probably be in the Spring of 2029--three and a half years away. As the saying goes 'a week is a long time in politics so 182 weeks [or there abouts] is an eon. I'm hoping the Faragite bubble with burst before then.

I dislike the man because he comes across as slimy, smug and too cock-sure of himself. Reform is too much of a one-man-band. Don't think he is very sincere and inclined to back down and change his mind. Don't buy this carefully stage-managed 'man of the people' persona. It's all so false. That's not calling him names but stating how I see him.

As for his party's policies a lot of them are suspect especially when it comes to economics, finance, the NHS, pensions, minimum wage etc etc. Easy to say what you are going to do when not in government but the reality of governing is a different matter as Messrs Starmer, Reeves etc have found out.

I don't like the Reform Party, but as a left of centre Scottish Republican, I actually hope that they get in in 2029.

That might finally convince enough soft Tory Scots ie Labour voters to back independence, a very risky strategy, I admit.

It is with great sadness that I have to agree. I despise Farage and would never support him nor any of his policies. While Labour continue to keep us complicit in the genocide in Gaza they are also untouchable, not much left.

People are always quick to put Nigel Farage, Nick Tenconi , Thomas Robinson down these days because they don't like hearing the truth. As we speak Nick Tenconi is in Calais helping the taxpayers (more than the government have done this budget) by sabotaging boats and stopping them coming over and telling the illegals they aren't welcome in the UK and to stay in France or go home.

Nobody has an issue with immigration as long as its done legally, they have passed their countries DBS checks and they have a trade and money to support themselves, the same policy as Australia. 🇬🇧 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 🇦🇺 🇮🇱 ❤️

Well it seemed to work for Bozo - Considering that the Tory party had sacked him from two positions in the party for lying to them knowing that they still made him leader of the party and PM - he was only interested in himself and getting the position, even though he was never a fit person to hold such a public office. I’m afraid that Farage is the same, and it would be another national catastrophe/disaster if he ever got into power.

What is a racist??

I can’t go to check in at any airport in the world without a passport yet people can use a passport to get to France..ditch it in the English Channel off the dingy they are on and reach Kent to be put in hotels and given a room food and universal credit..that should not be allowed..they should be sent back..does that make me racist??

Racist is now to easy a word to use against people who disagree with what’s happening here..people from Pakistan love their country..they are passionate about their country..but British people who have that same love and passion for this country are deemed racist

Pakistani nationals here are allowed to follow their faith in mosques..can we go to Pakistan to live and build churches??.is that me asking a question..or is that me being racist??

I apologise to the Pakistani men for using their population as an example on this thread..the vast majority of you are law abiding people just like the British white population

We need to stop using race as a whipping stick for someone who is passionate about his or hers country..if you disagree with the boats that doesn’t make you racist..if they enter the country without documentation it’s illegal..breaking the law..if we break the law we pay by going in front of a magistrate or judge and pay for it ..they get board and lodge and state handouts..things many people on our streets sleeping rough don’t get..am I a racist for saying this??..I know who and what I am but after reading this you have two outcomes to choose from …if you think I’m racist then your 100% wrong…if you think I’m right in what I have said and not a racist then neither is farage

Just a postscript to this …my father was racist..old school racist not like todays definition..working in my early years proved to me he was wrong..there is good and bad in every skin colour and I’m happy I discovered the truth and didn’t follow my fathers path

That sounds like the KKK helping impoverished black families in the south to heat their homes whilst telling them that it’s lovely further north.

He said he'd leave the country if it wasn't a success, he admitted about 18 months that it had failed.

The c*nt is still here.

"What is a racist??

Just a postscript to this …my father was racist..old school racist not like todays definition..working in my early years proved to me he was wrong..there is good and bad in every skin colour and I’m happy I discovered the truth and didn’t follow my fathers path"

Not everyone who votes for him is racist, but everyone that is racist votes for him.

No not racist. All these lies are because he will win the next GE. Labour are racist towards white people. Cons not racist but useless. If we want a better Britain there is only one party that's Reform.

Farage's idea of Brexit was that we leave the EU the moment the referendum result was declared. Pull up the drawbridge and to hell with the consequences.

Racist? Yes, most likely.

How anyone on this site can even consider him a suitable leader for the country is honestly beyond me. But then I am frequently shocked at the bigotry, closed mindedness and sheer lack of empathy found here. He said only last July, he's against gay marriage. He's vehemently against trans rights. He's against anyone whos ever been on sites like this and so many of you would vote him when all he will do is fuck us all over.

If you don't think the hateful rhetoric will stop at immigrants and trans people you're beyond reason.

Him and all who vote for him and reform plc are sickening.

Honestly, the only thing that will ever make me decide to leave this site is the amount of deluded right wingers who would screw the entire lgbt community because of their self serving bigotry.
